Small Measures selected as Finalist in Business Awards
Small Measures was delighted to be selected as one of three finalists for the Small Business of the Year Award 2008, sponsored by the Huntingdonshire branch of the Federation of Small Businesses.
The Small Business category was open to businesses with fewer than 20 employees and entrants had to show how their business had progressed in line with their business plan. Success could be proven by having a clear understanding of products, competitors and the marketplace.
Small companies, of which there are several thousand across Huntingdonshire, are responsible for 90 per cent of the district's employment. So there was keen competition to win the award.
The awards evening was held at Burgess Hall in St Ives, Cambridgeshire and compèred by BBC TV Look East presenter Stewart White. Sue Martin-Loat and her daughter Natalie both attended the black tie event on Friday 7 November to collect their certificate.
Sue said “We were really pleased to be chosen as a finalist in the Small Business category and will continue with our aim to offer women with small feet the widest choice of small shoe styles, all available in one place, for a price we would be prepared to pay ourselves”.
